UKIP candidate's kinky films available on YouTube

In stark contrast with the Lib Dems' enthusiasm for their candidate Anna Arrowsmith, whose hardcore feminist pornography has a cult following, Ukip has suspended Rob Ager, one its candidates in Liverpool, after it emerged - as such things tend to do - that he had directed films containing what are described as "scenes of bondage, incarceration and flagellation." He faces a "thorough enquiry into the matter."

We're also told, hilariously, that "some of his films also contained plugs for Ukip in the closing credits."

As far as I can tell, Rob Ager isn't any sort of pornographer. Although the Telegraph juicily reveals that one of the films, The Sex Game, "features a half-naked man being whipped and abused by a 'dominatrix'"(why the inverted commas?), Ager describes his work as "pretty tame" and less explicit that many commercial productions.

It certainly has a considerably lower budget. Perhaps, though, this sort of material offends UKIP's devoutly religious leader Lord Pearson.

As I write (though this may change, of course) Ager has a YouTube channel to showcase his work. Here's an example. If I were the BBFC, I would give this a 15 Certificate. Be warned, though, the acting wouldn't win any Oscars.

Rob Ager sounds like an interesting chap: here's an interview with him in which he discusses, among other things, his theories about the work of Stanley Kubrick. Perhaps minor parties naturally attract a greater variety of candidate.
