Alistair Darling's mini-budget is hard to avoid today, and the size of the projected deficit is just too scary. So here's something to take your mind off it: an ad that was splashed across the US networks by a group calling itself Our Country Deserves Better PAC. Just some ordinary folks who want to tell the world how much they love Sarah Palin. Sweet.

You hate her (and thats what it is hate) becasue she kept her downs child, when you think the right thing to do was to abort it. She is the living embodiment of ideals you regard as immoral.

You see, for you the important quality of a national leader is their personal life -- in this case you cite Palin's record as a mother.
I dare say Palin is a good mother (I don't know, because I don't know her personally). But it takes more than vthat to run a country. Running a country is a DIFFICULT JOB, that requires a good deal of INTELLIGENCE and knowledge.
I hear that most of Obama's team graduates from Yale or Harvard -- this doesn't guarantee they'll do well, but it's a good sign.
Ill tell you when it comes to a toss up of who to fear, knowledge fundamentalists have a big lead over christian fundamentalists.
The reason for this is simple, intelligent people think they can control things more than people who think things are down to luck or faith.
